Meet Fargo Studio Director Michelle Cody

Michelle Cody accidentally found herself running Fly Fargo.

Michelle found Fly through her daughter who started Fly Instructor training to become a cycle instructor. Michelle thought Fly sounded so incredible, so she asked the manager if she could work the front desk just to be a part of it.  She had no idea that 3 months later she would become the studio director! Michelle didn’t have business experience, but found that the Fly community welcomed her with open arms and she was able to utilize her skills honed in her previous career as a social worker.

Michelle worked as a social worker at a non profit working with pregnant women dealing with homelessness, addiction and mental health issues. It was here that Michelle learned how to build community and create safe spaces for people to become physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy. Skills she’s using at Fly today.

Michelle loves that Fly Fargo is totally unique to their city because Fly offers a great variety of classes in a boutique setting and that the studio is personal and welcoming. Michelle says “we truly believe that everyone is someone and we make them feel special from the moment they walk in the door”. Fly clients constantly share that they felt comfortable no matter their fitness level.  Once clients get to class, Fly instructors inspire everyone to be awesome!  Michelle says “clients are always coming out of class feeling inspired, encouraged and ready to take on big things in their lives!”.

Making everyone feel like a somebody is the Fly philosophy which founder, Jenni Brown created in Lincoln Nebraska in 2015 with the opening of the first Fly studio and it is this philosophy that keeps the company and studios going strong.

The Fly Fargo community is pretty diverse. Clients range from college students, young professionals to parents, and grandparents!  Fly is truly for everyone.

Michelle can’t stress enough that Fly is needed in more places to reach more people with the Fly, high energy, uplifting community.  Fly is the place to find your people.  Fly clients feed off of each other’s energy and the community is stronger together.  Michelle comments, “we always say that you would never push yourself working out alone in your basement, Fly is a lifestyle of positivity, determination, and strength!”
