Meet Loveland Studio Owner, Staci Lawson

Staci Lawson discovered Fly as a client in Lincoln, Nebraska over five years ago. She immediately loved the energy, the atmosphere, the classes and the community feel. She also loved the people at the studio and the diversity of classes.

Staci dreamed of owning a Fly studio. At the time, her kids were graduating and she owned a home in Loveland, Colorado. After being a client for so long, she felt like ownership was a natural progression.

Once Staci decided on studio ownership, she realized Loveland was the perfect location. It was big enough to support the studio, but didn’t have as much competition as other cities. As Staci started really getting to know the area and the amazing downtown business community, there was no looking back.

As Staci started her market research she was constantly being told by potential clients that they wanted a studio with multiple kinds of classes under one roof and with one membership. Nothing like that existed in Loveland, yet.

While Staci didn’t have direct ownership experience, she had worked at different hair salons and had her own at-home business when her kids were young. Staci’s story isn’t unique. Many Fly studio owners are first time business owners. With the Fly team and a passion for fitness, Staci was confident she would be successful.

Staci speaks very highly of the Fly team that helped her figure out her lease and build-out and helped her open. Most of their meetings were virtual, but Staci felt completely supported throughout the opening process. Fly HQ was able to come out to Loveland during and after opening and assess her teaching team and give specific training and feedback, which was really helpful at the time.

When asked why her clients love Fly, Staci says, “It’s the community. From the front desk staff to the teachers, we’re all working to make sure clients feel supported”. This is really important as many clients come to Fly Loveland having not exercised before or for a long time. Many of Loveland’s clients are young professionals who work remotely in tech.

Making everyone feel like a somebody is the Fly philosophy which founder, Jenni Brown created in Lincoln Nebraska in 2015 with the opening of the first Fly studio and it is this philosophy that keeps the company and studios going strong.

Staci is convinced that Fly is needed in more communities! “There is nothing really like Fly in other markets, almost no one offers different modalities under one roof, clients don’t want to do the hard work to think about their workouts”

Staci is excited about what’s to come for Fly Loveland and she’s been overwhelmed by the support and love she feels from the business community.
